What is Facial?

A facial is a family of skin care treatments for the face, neck, and decollete. The facial services may include cleansing, toning, exfoliating, extracting, steaming, applying creams, lotions, facial masks, and massage. Facial services are normally performed in beauty salons as well, but they are in fact a common spa treatment. They are used for general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions.

Facial services in Raaz- Secret to Velvet Skin Clinic are available at different levels using different products and techniques.

Classic Facial also known as European facial, is the most basic type of facial. The benefits of classic facials are maintaining clean, decongested, and glowing skin. It deeply cleanses the face, unclogs pores, evens out the skin tone, and gives you a more radiant complexion. The classic facial is suitable for all skin types.

Silver Facial – In Silver Facial package, we provide Galvanic or High-frequency services dependantly. Galvanic Facial includes the use of galvanic currents to stimulate the face muscles. It’s suitable for all skin types and is perfect for minimizing wrinkles, toning up the face, promoting collagen growth, and firming the skin. The results are visible almost instantly. But you need several treatments to maintain the results. High-frequency, sometimes referred to as radiofrequency (RF), stimulates deeper layers of the skin by electrical currents which produce a certain amount of heat. This anti-inflammatory heat kills bacteria. So it’s perfect for acne-prone skin to treat existing acne as well as prevent the formation of new ones. The benefits also include getting rid of acne scars.

Silver Facial package includes: Classic Facial + High Frequency/Galvanic/ + Face Massage.

Golden Facial – LED light therapy is a non-invasive facial treatment where they use different wavelengths of light to treat different skin issues. Blue light therapy fights inflammation and is good for acne treatment. Red light promotes collagen growth and skin rejuvenation. This light treats lines and wrinkles. LED light therapy is suitable for all skin types. It can be a treatment for different types of facials.

Extensive Facial – Microdermabrasion, sometimes referred to as “microderm,” “lunchtime peel”, “Parisian Peel”, and “Diamond Peel”, is a very popular, machine-assisted, non-surgical procedure which gently resurfaces the skin. The diamond tip of the microdermabrasion machine brushes the skin’s surface with the help of a gentle vacuum to remove dead and damaged cells at the skin’s surface. By microdermabrasion, the skin is left soft, fluffy, and elastic while forcing the regeneration of new skin cells. Microdermabrasion is suitable for all skin types.

What are the benefits of having a facial?

Facials can help clear clogged pores, tranquilize parched and dry skin and remove dead cells. Facials involve some massage which aids in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. The facial massage also helps to relax facial muscles which can slow the onset of wrinkles on the face

How often should you get a facial?

The general recommendation for a facial is every three to four weeks or once a month. That's how long your skin's life cycle is. After three or four weeks, your skin cells grow back. Facials help this process and assure your skin always glows.

What NOT To Do After A Facial

After a facial, you should not:

  • wax, shave, or have Laser Hair Removal,
  • Sunbathe,
  • pick at your skin,
  • use at-home peels Or retinol.
  • do eyebrow threading or treat with vapors after facials since the skin will be very sensitive,
  • face the sun for 2-4 hours after doing the facials,
  • wash your face after facial. Washing your face immediately after a facial will strip away its benefits. Do not wash your face at least for a day particularly with harsh cleansers because they contain chemicals that may only cause irritation and redness
