IPL
What is the IPL method?
IPL is abbreviated as Intense Pulsed Light. IPL method is one of the light therapy methods that is used to remove skin wrinkles, blemishes and excess hair.
IPL treatment is very similar to laser treatment. However, in laser treatment, only one wavelength of light is focused on your skin, while with the help of an IPL device, rays of different wavelengths, such as a photo flash, are projected onto the skin. The light produced by the IPL device is more scattered and less focused than laser beams.

IPL laser is used in the following cases
- Skin blemishes caused by aging and sunlight
- Redness of the skin caused by acne and
- Rosacea
- Excess hair removal
- Skin rejuvenation
In IPL, your skin’s pigment cells absorb light rays and convert them into heat. The resulting heat destroys unwanted pigments to remove freckles and other stains. These rays can also prevent hair regrowth in the desired area by destroying hair follicles.
You can use the IPL device on any part of your body, but this device does not work well in rough areas. These rays can help eliminate redness caused by acne, rosacea, scars, etc. by destroying blood vessels. IPL laser beams can also stimulate the skin’s collagen-producing cells to tighten the skin and eliminate wrinkles. The IPL method is not recommended for people with thick, raised colloidal scars or dark skin tone.
